King County Landmarks: Skykomish Masonic Hall (1924), Skykomish

Address: 108 Old Cascade Highway, Skykomish. The Masonic Hall in Skykomish is a two and one-half story wood frame building, built facing the historic highway route through town. Construction of the Masonic Hall was a community effort. John Maloney, Sr., the town founder and successful local businessman, donated the site. All funds for the project were raised among the local membership, and in a town of skilled craftsmen and laborers, all of the talent required to design, erect, and finish the two-story hall could be found close at hand. The Masons continue (in 2000) to meet in the building.
