Enumclaw beginnings: Enumclaw Post Office opens on June 10, 1886.

Enumclaw Post Office is established on June 10, 1886. Arthur Griffin is the first postmaster.

Enumclaw is located 33 miles south-southeast of Seattle near south boundary of King County and was situated along the Milwaukee and Northern Pacific Railway.
