El 30 de mayo de 2008, Filipino Community of Seattle, Inc. celebra la inauguración de su recientemente renovado y ampliado centro comunitario ubicado en 5740 Martin Luther King Jr Way. Formado en 1935 como el Concejo de la Comunidad de Estados Filipinos (Philippine Commonwealth Council) de Seattle, Filipino Community of Seattle sirve a la comunidad Filipino Americana mediante programas educativos, servicios para personas de edad avanzada, clases de danza y de idiomas, y defensa social. El nuevo centro se encuentra en el que fuera durante largo tiempo el hogar de la organización en Martin Luther King Jr. Way S, el antiguo Empire Bowling Alley que el grupo adquirió en 1965.
