湖脊公园毗邻西雅图东南部的泰勒溪和死马谷 (Deadhorse Canyon),占地面积超过 35 英亩。该公园坐落于 68th Avenue S 和 Rainier Avenue S 交汇处之南,恰好处于西雅图市的管辖范围内。泰勒溪是西雅图第四大河流,因 Taylor Mill 而得名。Taylor Mill 是一家 19 世纪的锯木厂,坐落于美丽的华盛顿湖之滨。泰勒溪流经死马谷后汇入华盛顿湖。相传一匹马儿常在峡谷地区出没,最终死于山涧内,“死马谷”便由此得名。开发 商 E.
