El 8 de enero de 2010 la escuela Somalí de Fin de Semana (Somali Weekend School) dicta sus primeras clases. La escuela organizada en forma privada funciona en West Seattle en un espacio proporcionado por la escuela media Denny International Middle School, en 8402 30th Avenue SW. Las clases se ofrecen los sábados y domingos. Iniciado como una sociedad entre Jeff Clark, principal de Denny International Middle School, y dos Somalíes Americanos de la comunidad High Point, el programa busca ayudar a los estudiantes inmigrantes Somalíes a aclimatarse a las escuelas americanas, mejorar sus logros académicos y animarles a seguir estudiando en la universidad.
