2005 年 5 月 14 日,老挝高地协会的一个项目“老挝高地社区中心”在西雅图东南部附近的奥赛罗运动场成立。该社区中心位于南博兹曼街 (S Bozeman) 3925 号,它是第一个此类型的中心,由来自老挝的苗族、缅族、克木族移民共同建造。该中心旨在为这些族群成员提供社会服务,并且是提供这些服务的理想地点。该中 心不仅为青年人和老年人提供各项活动计划,而且积极地致力于保护老挝山地部落居民的独特和多样化遗产。为了建立该中心,老挝高地协会接受了临时社区发展协 会 (Interim Community Development Association) 的法律指导和业务指南。
