En agosto de 1993, los residentes samoanos de Seattle se reúnen en el campo de juegos Jefferson Park Playfield para su primer "Aso Mo Samoa" o Día de la Comunidad Samoana. El evento de un día de duración celebra la herencia cultural samoana y conmemora la relación política entre la Samoa Americana y los Estados Unidos.
